About
Iiro Holopainen (1989, Finland) is a screenwriter and director working in fiction, documentary, and experimental media art.
He made his full-length documentary debut with Songs from Savonlinna (2025), featuring a painting-like, explorational style. Currently based in Helsinki, Finland, he continues to develop this style with his second feature, set in the war-scarred yet uniquely beautiful Bosnian-Herzegovinian city of Mostar.
